Being Plus Doesn’t Make You the D.U.F.F (Designated Ugly Fat Friend)

Being Plus Doesn’t Make You the D.U.F.F (Designated Ugly Fat Friend)

So I used to be the girl…

that would always be indifferent when the pretty girls were into a guy I was crushing on. I always immediately assumed “Well, he’s probably not gonna be interested in me since I’m the fat one.”

And I KNOW I’m not the only curvy girl who’s mulled over these thoughts at an early age, otherwise the D.U.F.F acronym wouldn’t exist.

For one (and this might shock you),

I didn’t care much for boys as a pre-teen. At that age, I knew none of the boys my age were worth a damn and I was too worried about getting into a good Catholic high school (yes, I APPLIED to high school).

But once I got there, things changed.

Turning 16 and 17 meant that I was growing into my body. My curves were more defined than the other (“popular”) girls’ who still looked like Spongebob and MUCH older guys started hitting on me. Be careful what you wish for, right?

Many of us who shop plus shouldn’t count themselves out of the love game or any part of life. I won’t say men nowadays are growing up, BUT they are starting to see the other (thicker) options that are out there.

The thighs will keep him/her warm at night 😏
